Another example of someone who thinks they have a goldmine because it's 'antique'...

We wonder

Agitating

Or better yet maybe they were dropped into the running Maytag wringer washer and thrashed about for a bit...

Last year I sold an early 70's E2L for $45, and I felt I was lucky to get that much. I had advertised it for almost 3 months before I finally had a serious buyer.

But my question is...

revvinkevin's profile picture

... did Maytag even MAKE that model in the 40's?? Isn't this one more like early 60's?

Where is Geoff Delp when you need him??? LOL

There have been a few occasions I've contacted sellers of Maytag wringers with the blue/turquoise agitator/safety bar that are claiming it's from the 20's, 30's or 40's.... when the oldest it could POSSIBLY be is 1966!

A Grey Ghost,

I believe that Maytag stopped production of the type of machine in Drew's link sometime in the late 1920's or early 1930's at the latest.

Geoff Delp we need your help ASAP!

I found two of them at a junkyard in B'more and got both for $10. Both worked great but one had an arm frozen on the agitate mode.
