Jan, Thank you for sharing pictures of your collection. Other than the Wa, I mean Zanker 502, do any of the older machines do spins between the rinses or do they just do a final spin?

Fantastic Miele duo

Simply beautiful machines. Timeless design and they look to be in fantastic original condition. Pity rich people haven't got the option of buying machines that are this stylish. The expensive modern range of Miele is good but these are special!

Thank you for sharing your pictures. I love the older AEG's especially the ones that have a motor break. It wasn't very long ago that I saw that for the first time, I found it very cool!
The Bosch however is also a very lovely machine. If only I had enough space!

....with Louis....

They look just gorgeous with those graphics....shame we didn't get them here...

The 'drop-door' loading platform was one of the key reasons I bought my mothers ASEA Cylinda 12000 in 1989....

I've never really used an Asko. I would love to play with one for a while. Why do you think they are boring?

ronhic's profile picture
They aren't really, but you can't watch the spin if they have the drop-door....as soon as you open it, the spin stops and won't restart until it is closed...

They are a fantastic machine...solid and reliable...

Post# 485599 , Reply# 37   1/1/2011 at 04:30 (4,835 days old) by mielemondia757 ()
what?

This ASKO havn´t a switch at the drop-door, so she wash and spin with door open. As I have checked the washer from Inside, I havn´t seen a switch there, only some springs for the drop-door

A great classic collection of washers, and the weight of these machines means you wont want to move these around in a hurry!!

Heres a video of the dryer to match your Bosch V475, its Richards from Bristol, (RichUKBristol) and the unique feature it has is the two speed programme, the faster speed being for the woollens, it pins the woollens to the sides of the drum without dropping & stretching them...

Matura Autostatic

Well done, Jan, lovely collection that you have there.
I remember our former landlords owning this Matura, exactly the same.
But before they ordered this one, they had the older 3 knob automatic by Matura (read: Quelle department store/ catalog retailer)
It had some gray control board, 2 knobs on the left (cycles and temperature) and one on the right (options, cycle selections), it had a somewhat smaller porthole and a very noisy pump (music in my ears).
Anything known about that one?
Still remember that flickering red glow of the pilot light in the middle of the control panel....(let alone the hissing sound of the scaled internal heater when going to 95°C).
You'd have some brochures to scan and share? Would be awesome!
Cheers, Joe

You have some very nice comsumer FL machines! Only if those were sold in the US. Like your Goldkind too, I bet it jumps all over the place! Your vintage Lavamat machines look to be built really well.
