I think my Frigidaire Gallery dryer is getting ready to bite the big one. I saw this on Craigslist and considering it as a replacement, not sure what year it came out.

I think early 1990s, not the late 1980s, even though similar control panel. It's the door handle location that gives me the early 1990s.

The first gen LAT dryers. I'd say 1989-1993-ish. Model looks like it's upper MOL. Easy to work on with lots of available parts still lurking around for cheap. Just make sure the glides aren't too far worn before putting it in regular service. If the blower is noisy, it could be stripped out. Kinda common with high mileage units, but you can score a new blower on ebay for $5 or less.

The seller says a new belt and fan blade were installed last year. I'm going to check a couple used appliance stores tomorrow and see what I can find. My Frigidaire runs really loud and is making a strange clicking noise which I think is the electronic ignition.

I like the large door on the one pictured.

Now is this really Maytag or is it actually Magic Chef? I can't readily tell.

It's a real Maytag. Built in Newton.

I can barely make out the M on the left of the control panel, it sucks to get old, LOL.
