The ad reads:

I have an 1960's GE Mobile Maid topload Dishwasher with the washer in the lid. I am asking $50.00 for this or Best Offer. I put up a photo for interested parties. I am in The Dalles so you would have to haul this. This would be great for that person that collects vintage appliances. Everything works, I even have a new adapter I bought from True Value for the sink. If you have any questions please ask me.

Please respond to email if you are interested.

That was our first . . .

. . . dishwasher. I was still in high school. It was used by us for 15 years and then given to a lady who had a day care.

The bowtie cleaned anything. While running, the entire machine would shake. And ear plugs would be recommended if you were within earshot.

When it was finished, the lid would pop open releasing the steam, and the heating element would finish drying the dishes.

That is a great score.

OK, can someone explain to me WHY all my coveted Mobile Maid portables with the pink Plastisol tub linings and the bow tie impellers are all located in the far west? Anybody? Hmmm?

Bueller????

Bueller???
