I just took my F&P 5kg TL washer out of storage and hooked it up and did a load in it. Works perfectly except that during agitation in wash and rinse cycle it bangs rhythmically. Looks like the outer tub is moving back and forth too much. All the suspension rods are in place and I can't see why it would be doing this. Anyone have any ideas I would be really greatful

Suggestion really appreciated, however just worked out what the problem was, I very stupidly had not removed the transit restraint under the tub. I have no recollection of putting it back when I put the machine in to storage over 4 years ago. Since removing it, it works like a dream, so whisper quiet. | ||

uh... I'm sorry,but going by this pic & others I've seen of F&P's,they are VERY cheaply made for what you pay.IMO. Can't bring myself to spend the money on one,even though the agitator style KM branded intrigued me for awhile. | ||

I have 2 F&P TL washers. Compared to the more robust models from the US they do appear to be cheaply made. They are not very heavy at all and the suspension looks frail. Having said that both machines work very well and handle big full loads really well. Compared to my Maytag Atlantis they are years ahead as far as technology goes, I am very impressed with them and would always recommend F&P washers

As I've yammered about on here often enough, I have two F&P washers (GWL08 & IWL12) ... and a traditional frontload (GE-sourced) dryer (DE04), a topload dryer (DEGX1), and a DishDrawer (DD603). None of the machines have needed repairs. Anyways, the washers (or at least my two) are robust enough to handle 1010 RPM spin without failures for 11+ years and 6+ years, or thereabouts depending on how many loads were at normal spin and how many were at slower speeds. They're also fun and interesting to run what with the technology as SpinSpeed mentioned above -- variable agitator actions in response to fabric movement, direct-drive stepper motor, automatic water level sensing, automatic fabric sensing for agitation speed, recirculation shower wash action, and choice of shower rinsing. | ||
