I bought this model from Sears last week on sale for $589.99. I am very pleased with the washer. I am going to attach a few pics of a fun day I had washing with Peter from New York. Let me download a few pics with further explinations!

For the specs
I realy like the washer it gets right to the point. Absolutly NO problem with spinning. Extremly impressed with quiet operation. Ran normal wash with Fresh water rinse (extra rinse) option. Complete cycle with this option 50 minutes. Also used Max Fill (hold button 3 seconds) - you can tell by sound of tumbling more water is in drum. Everything comes out extremly clean. It has cut the drying time by at least 1/3.
I previously owned LG, Samsung and TL Bravo and sent back to store. This one is a real keeper especially given the lower price with extremlly value for the money.
I wish the window was not so tinted but you still have a good view.
More to follow!
Louis

Quick Stop At Lou's Tonight

kenmore700bill's profile picture
Made a stop at Lou's tonight on the way home from the Shore, Pete was there visiting and Lou and Peter tried to convince me to go FL. (I am in the market for a new Washer and want ot be sure I would be satisfied with the performance of a FL machine.) I will tell you Lou is very satisfied with the performance of this new machine. He has given it several challenges since he installed it and was very satisfied with its results. He was very impressed with the decrease in drying time for a load of towels. It looks to be a very well built FL machine and I was invited back to check out its perforamance in person. I will take him up on the invitation during the week.
Lou Best of luck with your new Machine..And thanks for tour of your home and all of your collectible items.
Peter great seeing you again.
Bill

Congratulations Lou. And good to know Peter likes it too, he's a tough customer. when Peter likes something, that's quite an endorsement.

Great Evening!

peteski50's profile picture
I just got home a short time ago and I want to say I always have a wonderful time visiting Louis and Michael. And of course seeing you Bill was great. I am sorry Bill didnt get their earlier to see the demo of the 2 loads of wash Louis did in the new washer. I was extremly impressed with how the washer got right to the point and did a normal wash with a extra rinse (Fresh water rinse) 3 in total in 50 minutes with a complete spin between each rinse. Of course we are not going to see all the splashing like we would like to see like with a old westinghouse, but with the max fill option it did add enough more water to be able to distunguish a more distinct turnover sound. Lets just say it was a decent amount more water. This Affinity series is definatly built better than previous models and is so quiet even in the high speed spinning with almost no vibration. I didnt care for the tinted window but we still got a decent view. I also felt the max fill button could have been easier to set. Other than that it goes beyond my approval. Yes Bob I can be a tough customer but please remember these are not hard specs to please. Asking a appliance to perform simply and do its job correctly in a reasonable amount of time is not asking much. It is amazing you pay a lot more for a crapy LG that cant even go into a spin correctly. This Frigidaire series is definatly a breath of fresh air. Also I wish they would make a combo like this. For more specs on these models please check out the instruction manuals on their website.
Thanks and goodnight for now!
Peter

Congratulations on getting your new Frigidaire, Louis! I've had mine for almost five months and I really like it. I think this new line of washers offers great value-for-money.

Affinity Buy

Nice machine I wish I had the savings you did in getting your FL. There have been a lot of machines to choose from here in Canada, Frigidaire never got a real good name for itself until maybe the last 5-7 years. I remember my aunt having the tragedy of a house fire and when it came time to replace the appliances the sales clerk wouldn't sell the Frigidaire to her because of the appliances history the clerk said they had too many problems with them .
If we can buy a FL machine now at that price I can't understand why people wouldn't choose this over a TL.
I have had two Maytag Neptunes, the first one worked great until the flood took it away and the second I could have stuffed with plastic explosives I had that much trouble with it, so I now have a duet at a large price tag even on sale, and get nervous when I hear these stories about the spiders going bad on the FL machines, so now I know I can if I have to get an Affinity at a reasonable price with a bigger capacity, less wash time and drying time to boot should I end up in the market again, and with my luck who knows?
I hope you have many years of great service with your new Affinity, you all look so happy, enjoy it , that's the way it was meant to be!!!
Cheers :)

Finally got a-round-2-it and read the thread. I have a friend in the market and sent him the link. Went to Frigidaire.com, Sears.com and hhGregg.com. Sears has the best price on the washer $589 and will deliver it for free. Sears matching steam dryer is $589 (same as the washer) hhgregg has the matching set for $1179 (no free delivery).
