As much as i want one of these, $250 is well, insane. $75-100 tops. I have one of these in rusted and decrepit condition already. They are rare though, but fun. I sent the seller an e-mail to see if we could negotiate something. As some of you know, I've been chasing one of these for a while now, with a failed run all the way to Wisconsin. I'll keep you all posted. Mickey: These machines have no heater, no 110v models do. They are based on the Servis SuperTwin and the knobs are (L to R): Wash Pump (On/Off), Wash Timer, Spin (On/Off). The wash pump is a mechanical pump driven off the wash motor. The knob simply moves a lever and engages the pump wheel. The timer is just a mechanical 15 minute timer that turns the machine off at the end of the set time. There is no timer motor, its wind up and has a cute bell. The spin dial is the power to the spinner and electric pump for the spinner. With this on, the pump starts running immediately and the spinner with run if the lid is closed. It's an odd way to operate the spinner. The later models have only 2 dials, omitting the spin dial. -Tim |

Oh yes tough negotiations required...$70 yes any more debatable...simple solid machines, based on the Supertwin Model 70....Tim does this model have the electric pump??? thats quite an innovation if it does as we only had that feature on the late 80`s model, the one with two controls, any three control models here had the spin pump working off the spin motor!!

What a show goes on here when the genius genies are summoned by rubbing the aworg lamp. Wonderful!! Many, Many thanks to you and Leon. Saturday, on PBS, our dear friends Julia Child and Jacques Pepin were making souffles and Jack was using a sunset colored cheese which he called English Cheddar. And Julia was teasing the Brits about being unusual. She was actually funny, and quite old in the piece, and still alive, of course! ;-> Well I thought of her immediately when studying your magnificent close ups of the controls, (Reply #17): what the heck is "Spin&Heat" all about? Can you boil the rinse water, too? LOL. What if you wanted to spin and boil? I'm afraid your slow American Cousin is quite lost in these unusual options. Happy New Year, Mikey. |

The SuperTwin (and yes, it does tell you it's a SuperTwin...) here in the US has both a mechanical, wheel driven wash pump AND an electric spinner pump. The wash pump has a hose with a discharge grommet in the front-left of the wash tub, near the brim and the corresponding hose to fit in it and the spinner pump (electric) has a dial (3rd one) that control is and the spin circuit. None of the US/Canadian models have a heater due to their 110v operation. These are fine machines and I really would love to get one in working order. -Tim |
