Almost went to join Elizabeth. OK, we're going to have to make a new rule about this. You don't call it a Hotpoint unless you SEE the solid tub, the Fountain filter pan and the outrageously and disproportionately large backsplash. I almost had to call 911. Fortunately I had forgotten the number.
I think I'll coin the term "Filter-Points" for these disappointments. Sounds better than "Hot-Flo's".

Disagree I have fond memories of the early 80's Hotpoint I had as a kid. I've never seen a "real" Hotpoint as mentioned, but you have to realize that to some, probably more so with the 20-something crowd, these later Hotpoint's invoke the same reaction as the old non-GE's do to you and others.
I think I'll coin the term "Filter-Points" for these disappointments. Sounds better than "Hot-Flo's".
Come now, lets not start a war within the GE camp
Maybe just a rule that SOME people don't like the newer machines...
