Great dishwasher

I had this same exact dishwasher in college (my roommates loved me...they never washed dishes!) This was a great dishwasher, and the food warmer was great for parties! The one I had actually had the Delco "Turbo Pump" which only lasted for a short while in this series. It was replaced by the Filter Stream pump that preceded the Power Clean module. The only drawback to this machine was that you could not tell what part of the cycle it was in (except dry).

I would love to have this machine again. Thank you so much for posting the picture. It brings back many memories. Can you post the entire brochure?

A fraternity brother of minie in college lived at home.  His parents had the Imperial SWP90.  This was the machine I was referring to in the GE thread last night about whirlpool having a top loading dishwassher where the control panel looked like one of their washing machines.  I loved going to parties at their house because I could drool over the copper whirlpool washer & dryer in the very huge old kitchen as well as the matching color dishwasher and other appliances.  they had like 6 or 8 kids.

One of the best things about your threads, David, is that you have sparked so many memories. Now I remember that Whirlpool top-loader with the backsplasher. It looks like a little washing machine. After reading so many raves in Consumer Reports and looking at these marvelous machines I want to find one, very badly. In one report, CU judged that some of the Whirlpools cleaned their loads without detergent, better than a lot of machines did with detergent! I've also heard that they were champs at drying.
