Hello James
Dont panic this is not a big problem, you will need an allen key to loosen the locking bolt on the rear pulley, then you will need to remove the pulley from the shaft itself, normally gripping it and rocking gently whilst pulling it will release it, if not then put some packing between the pulley outter edge and the tub and lightly tap the shaft with a blunt cross head screw driver or some thing simular, obviously if you have a suitable sized bearing puller then this will do the job without much effort at all Once you have gotten that off all you need do is push the shaft through the back of the tub making sure you dont lose any washers. Clean up the shaft and bearing hole with white spirit and liberally grease the shaft and re-insert it, then whilst holding the pulsator push the pulley onto the shaft, push it on to the point that there is no back and forth play, but not so tight it is hard to turn, once this is set then tighten back up the allen bolt in the pulley and re-connect the drive belt This should sort out the leak. There are no seals as such on this design, the seal is achieved by close tolerancing of the bush that the pulsator shaft fits in when greased Right that has now made my head hurt so im off ta bed |
