My friend's, Leroy & Joyce, have a possibly 2nd to BOL Tappan of this vintage. Their machine is almond with a black control panel. It actually does a pretty decent job. Do you have any other pics of Tappan machines that were offered during this timeframe? Great scans!

Leroy & Joyce have model 61-1042, but their machine has a water heating indicator light, and the bottom rack is all one level. She uses the water temp boost option, and heated dry cycle all the time and it does a fine job. The dw actually sat idle for about 2 yrs after Leroy's 1st wife died. When Leroy married Joyce this past summer the 1st thing she asked me was to show her how to use the dw. She had never had one before this. Now, she wouldn't be without one. lol I guess for a beginner, this is a good machine to learn with.
