OK, there was one kid I went to school with a long time ago who had one of those narrow dishwashers!
His family also had a double decker gas range (upper & lower oven) and a Side X Side fridge... I'm not sure if the D/W was a Kenmore--it might have been, but I think I remember him saying it was "a Roper", although he might have been referring to the stove... I think the fridge was an Admiral, and somehow I remember a "Philco Ford" logo appearing on something & I believe it was the room air conditioner they had in the dining room, (while another room, the parents' bedroom, had a Carrier; remember the blue oval-shaped logo on it, sticking out of the back of the house, over-looking the back yard!) -- Dave |

I always wanted that Lady Kenmore - I thought it was so sleek looking (as sleek as wood-grain can be) but never knew anyone who had one. Years later, in the early 90's, a neighbor of my parents was selling her house and replacing that very machine (in avocado, no less) and I wanted the dishwasher in the worst way but it just wasn't meant to be, no place to put it. Thanks again, Pete - excellent job! |
