New menber. My father in law has one of these very solid Zanussi washers. He asked me to have a look at it recently - water is not heating up. Took covers off - perfect condition, and how well built. It all works fine, goes to end of cycle, but cold! No voltage at hot water solenoid valve, even on a 90 degree wash. Seems to be no voltage on heating element either. Any ideas? The cold wash button is not active, but it behaves as if it is.

Hmm not familiar with that specific model but I remember some Zanussi washers that exhibited similar behavior. One time it was the temperature sensor had deteriorated and the other the sensor was wiring had become detached.
