Was wondering what the last year top load portable dishwasher were made? My guess is 1975 or so. And who was the last maker ?

I vaguely remember this topic not that long ago.

KitchenAid

offered them into the early 1980's. Seem to recall they had the KD-18 style pump.

Were probably KA, I remember selling one in 1976 and having to beat the bushes to find one for my customer. The distributor finely found one but told us that they had been discontinued. The last models that show up in parts literatrue are KD7-A , KD7-C & KD7-W all these are smilier and have the 17 style motor, I have also never seen one in almond color which would have been very popular at this time.

Think how cool it would have been if they had added a second wash arm to the TLers and kept making these machines. I have had a TL KA DW in may kitchen for years that can be easily used. With the help of Tom and Jeff I even got an extra hot water faucet installed to make its use more convent. I have always liked using TL machines as you don't have to worry about making a mess as you load it, I think it is one of the reasons that people like the dish-drawer models so much. It is just to bad that they are such poor performers.
