This is one of my new babies - a late 56 /57 model.
The terminal block in the hood was broken - but luckily I had another one that I had scavenged a while back.
The schematic on the back cover was still in tact - so using that and a quick call to John Lefever, I was able to wire the new block and put in the jumper wire so that I could run it on 110/115.
I won't use it much to dry clothes - but it sure will be used as an accent lamp!

Very nice - didn't realize they used fiberglas for the panel, that's really cool!

That really looks good Ted, I guess we know who has dibs on the matching washer when we find it.

Pre WP-esque Kelvy

It's neat seeing the original Kelvy dryers. Do you all remember the style that came after that? It was very mechanically similar to the old-style WP dryer, with the blower and lint screen in the top right corner. In Canada, many were sold by Eaton's department store under the Viking name.

I like the great looking Servel fridge next to it also.  Is the Servel hooked up, and operating?

Servel

The Servel works great - but it is not hooked up right now.
It's actually an electric model.

Never knew they made electric models also.  I learned something new today, thanks!

Indeed, but I'm drooling over the WP combo hiding in the background from Wellsville NY. Did it end up working or not. Woke up this morn' and you were on my mind. Was thinking about your fleet of gems and your concerts and what name you use on Youtube. Great morning meditation. Then at Aworg time, here you are. I love it when that stuff happens~makes life thrilling and mysterious. Thanks, Ted. The '56 Uni still works like a champ.
