i think i got the mod number right kuds230y2.. anyway this is the machine i got for 40 bucks like 4 years ago, cleaned it up and put a new water valve in and it runs and cleans fine. but over the last few months every once in a while it would sound funny so id open the door and there was very little water in the bottom of the tub like it was not filling all the way. now it does it all the time. do you think its a water valve issue or float issue or timer issue?

Is it in the purge phase? after the main wash it goes through a purge where it fills with just a quart or so of water to flush the sump before the last rinse.

no this is on the first fill for the main wash or either rinse does it on any cycle too.. wonder if the float is messed up. i can trick the door and watch the water comming in and it seems at a normal flow
