I have two ABC Washer Spinner machines from the 1930's, but I cannot seem to find the model number. As you may have already discovered, these machines were made here in Peoria, Illinois. One is in pretty bad shape - especially the spinner tub because it has rusted completely through and the spinner is no longer riveted to the drive plate underneath the spinner tank. (I paid $40.) The other, shown here, and on two subsequent replies, is in much better shape. (I paid $100.) So hopefully based on this comparison you can come up with your price. Mike |

Through an ABC search yesterday looking for pix of the spinner, I came across a fabulous thread from the last days of January about yours and Gary's newspaper articles. I couldn't believe how nice it was to see that, and I truly can't imagine how I missed it and failed to acknowledge such wonderful gentlemen. Was it a week-end? My apologies. It gave me great joy reading it and finally seeing Gary ABC-O-matic after all these years. Amazing!
And yes that agitator is spectacular, so much heavy metal, reminds me of a thick door latch on a submarine. I'll re-read to see if you've got it working. Would be a treat to see all those heavy metal vanes swing. |
