At Habitat for Humanity, I found a Kenmore Ultra WashII convertable dishwasher made by Whirlpool. It has the adjustable upper rack and it's blue. The interior is polly.,not porcelain. It works fine except, the intake of water doesn't work. You can here a buzzing noise like a solinoid but no incoming water. I have not checked yet for any blockage.I will take my shop vac and suck out the unicouple intake hose and go from there.I got this for only $20!

I laid the unit down on its back and removed the inlet hose from the valve. It was a real mess!!Lots of goop that had accumulated and blocked all the water from going in. It looks like the unicouple had backwashed into the intake hosed causing the grease and ground up food particles to completely clog the water from entering.I used a paring knife and a straight screw driver to clean out all the gook and it now works perfect. I tried to reverse the panel from black to almond but the strap at the bottom that holds the panel in place completely broke. Now,I need to find another strip to replace the broken one. It's black and needs to be replaced. Otherwise, the panel will not stay on. Anyone here that has one or knows somebody else who does and is willing to part with it,please let me know.Meanwhile, I'll search for one. I also need the lower rack rep[laced because the one it came with has severe rust on 55% of the rack. the upper rack is fine with no rust anywhere.
