Hey all, the time has come for me to replace my washer and I thought replacing it with something vintage might be best. I'm ideally looking for a vintage front loader, of course a Westinghouse is at the top of my list, but so far something that really moves me seems to be harder to find than Hoffa! Am I being unrealistic thinking I could find a Westinghouse or a Bendix? BTW can't bolt something down, so it would have to be a balanced machine.

My only suggestion is this:  Keep an eye out on craigslist for the variouis cities and towns in the area.  also get in touch with some 2nd hand and resale shops and the habitat store.  Let the know what you are looking for, a westinghouse front loader or white-westinghouse front loader.  There were a bunch of condos and townhouses in the late 1970s and early 1980s which all had the westy spacemates in them when built.  They were located on Behring off of Westheimer; Out off of Gessner and Wstheimer between Richmond and Westheimer; as well as what became Beechnut/Bellaire near the Sam Houston Toll Road.
