I just purchased a stackable PINK Westinghouse Front loading washer and dryer combo. Can anyone tell me if you can still order gaskets for these or possibly get one made? I haven't used the washer yet but when I purchased it they told me it may need a new belt or gasket. As for the dryer...I have to hook up a new pigtail to it...is there any special type I should get.

The model number is L-127-NP Style: Q-81167
Any help is appreciated. My email is wtrf_tv@yahoo.com

Thanks!
Dave

Dave, those Westys look awesome!! I saw your comment in the thread I had started about the Hansen's place in upstate New York - they very well may have the door boot you need. When I was there on Saturday, I saw a TON of NOS Westinghouse parts, including some door boots. At the moment, they are still classifying and sorting the parts but they should be able to track part and model numbers more precisely within a month or two.
If you are in a hurry, try Modern Parts in Parma, OH. Larry, the owner, has no email but he can be reached by phone at 216-661-6966.
Hope this helps!!

Dave, you can flip that dryer over if you prefer sxs  setup.  Every piece of chrome and trim including the "clothes dryer"  script can be carefully removed and turned upside down to "mirror" the washer.  You might have to fashion a top for the washer or put formica over both. alr2903.

WH SPACE-MATES PAIR

Congratulations on your find Dave a good friend of mine saw those on Craigslist and was trying to get me to buy them, but I already have the same thing. This was WHs compact washer design it came out about 1955 and continued through about 1963 when they redesigned the stack pair and thier regular size washers & dryers to all be the same 27" size. Your new pair are between about 1960-1963, almost all of the parts for the 25" machines are different than the other larger washers & dryers WH made at the same time. WH scaled the whole washer & dryer down in size for the 25" units and they were not as rugged as thier larger machines of the same time period. As a result they may not be as good for every day drivers as the bigger machines, but I find them to be very desirable collectable machines. I have repaired and rebuilt some of these over the years and have some replacement parts for them [ sorry no extra washer boots ]let me know if you need any help with these John.
