POWER JET IS BACK!

Capacity is going to be upto 9kg and 1400rpm I think. Still not on the market so I don"t know the price, but it won"t be cheap.
What I know is that there is a new range of ECO programmes that are being on 20 40 and 60 degrees making the same performance as 40 60 95 deg.
But the BEST thing... detergent is being flushed through the draw, in an another compartment where it"s being mixed with water, and then sprayed in the drum with POWER JET!! :D :D :D

I wonder if Hoover washers/dishwashers are gonna have this kinda facelift too!

That long groove might be a bit of a dirt trap... although it seems wide enough to let a wipe in ;-)

Hoover is going to wait xD

Well, as far as I am informed, Hoover is going to get such thing in 2012, since last year Candy remained GrandO, and Hoover got Dynamic ;)

Nice facelift!

I hope they're getting the insides better too!

Oh, BTW, they're already on sale here with prices varying from 490 to 690 euros depending on the model.

As an example: 1400 rpm, 7 kg, 65 cm wide (they got them a bigger than standad drum!!) 492 euros (EVO 147 3DW)

1400 rpm, 9 kg, 65 cm wide, 659 euros (EVO 149 4LW)

1200 rpm, 8 kg, 65 cm wide, 539 euros (EVO 128 3DW)

About the insides...

I was abit criminal today xD... I opened the back thing of my Candy just of curiosity, and since we all seen that Candy has (had) PLASTIC drum pulleys, I was suprised with this... And they told me (I asked them not to lie, since we were talking like friends) that inside is better - hence 5 year full free guarantee!!! :D

Under a different light...

haxisfan's profile picture
Now that I've seen the video, what I thought was a groove on the dashboard earlier on, was just an optical illusion created by the shadow between the door and the control panel.

As for the plastic drum pulley... I've never seen one on Candys... I've only ever seen them on some Electrolux models, but maybe some Candys have it too: not the ones I've seen though.

I've been naughty too with my Hoover and took the back panel off once... the back of the pulley has a nut that can be unscrewed to replace the bearings, and another thread inside where part of the shipping bolts have to be tightened in (imagine the damage if one doesn't remove these before using the machine) but on yours it looks like a blind cap... does your model have a sealed tub or is it just a cover?

errr.. not a profesional about that but..

the small round thing in the center of the pulley can be unscrewed.. I don"t know what does that mean really :P

If it can be unscrewed I guess it's just a cover. I'm not suggesting that you take your machine apart, but if you really want to find out whether it's got a sealed tub or not you need to remove the top panel as well! I was naughty and I did it in mine... curiosity had got the better of me I'm afraid :-P

A seal tub makes repairs more expensive and sometimes it's wiser to write off the appliance should the bearings fail. Yet, as far as I've gathered in Serbia you've got Candy warranty for both labour and parts for 5 years which is definitely a plus... can you extend the guarantee beyond this term at extra cost?

The bearings shouldn't fail that quickly anyway... the bearings in my 6 and half year old washing machine started to make a slight rumbling sound a few years ago but they never got worse and I'm sure they won't get worse overnight. I don't remember ever replacing the bearings in my previous washers either... although I never had them long enough to find out wether they needed replacing :-P

My parents had the bearings replaced in their washer after some 15 years... and my sister in hers after 16 years! Having said that, the bearings in modern machines are smaller but one should still be able to get a fair share of usage out of them :-)

COOL!!!!!

How did Candy develop such a thing?????????

Update to dimensions (thank god)...

It was so wired to me that those machines were 65cm wide... So, deffinatley confirmed now, all Candy EVO"s are 60cm wide and 85cm high (on the site where dj-gabriele took info from is a serious misake - says 65cm wide and 89cm high), depths varying by the capacity. :)

cheers,
Dex

interesting

Very nice looking machines! The Mix compartment is also interesting offering a new way to fight stains spraying a concentrated solution direct on the fabrics.

In fact the same way as the American Whirlpool Catalyst action.

Thanks for sharing. I'm curious to take a closer look at this machines when available in stores.

I'm glad the 'Powerjet' is back again. I love any washer with them. I have to say , these latest washers are much nicer looking than the current ones.

more new programmes!

Well, about Catalayst.. Maybe Whirlpool took it from Candy, since Candy has that jet pattern since 1997, and first used it in Rapid32 to enhance the wash performance, but then was because of the time, and now it"s because of temperature! :D

Anyway.. I found out that after Mixpower20, daily 40, and intensive 60, we have another new cycle, but on more basic models.. JEANS :D

So basically here we are looking at very much the same way as a zanussi jetsystem works with a separate recirculating pump but instead of the detergent being flushed straight into the outer drum from the soap drawer it goes straight to the recirculating pump first. I think thats how it looks from the diagram. Its also got its own jeans programme i wonder if that programme spins at the top speed. Also with it having the powerjet does it use less water like the zanussi jetsystem & does the powerjet just come on in just the washing section or throughout the whole programme. I remember when the powerjet was on the Vision HD machines for a short time.

Powerjet

It is using less water and energy, also it is performed through both wash and rinse.

I think that max speed on Jeans cycle is 800, however I am not sure ;)

bye for now,
Dex
