I had to clear some space in the garage, so I have parted out the 1986 Maytag WU902 reverse-rack dishwasher that orignally came with the house in Ogden.
I have a whole bunch of parts that may be useful to someone here.
I managed to extract the wash arms, supply tube, heating element, water inlet, and the blower assembly for the drying system. The pump is seized, but I took it out anyway, just in case someone could use it.

There's a set of racks, with the cutlery basket, all in very good condition.

I kept the timer, console, and motor with the wiring harness intact. There is also a wiring diagram, but it does have some water damage.
Oh, and I kept the inlet water solenoid.

Finally, I kept the door panel and motor access panels complete with four interchangable colours (black, white, almond, and harvest gold). I also kept the inside door panel (it was still in reasonably good shape) and the dtergent and rinse agent dispensers.

And I caught Hubby doing this AFTER the parts were out, fortunately...

So, if anyone is interested in these parts, please let me know - I would like to move 'em along as soon as possible... There are new vintage machines comin' in...

Too bad ya didn't try to save it.  There are many who would love to have that dishwasher for the first time or have one all over again.  they were very good machines at cleaning and loading.

Sadly, I did post that the machine was available and free for the taking about a year ago... I had to do something to clear floor space alas. SIGH!

That's the next dishwasher I want to find, Maytag. Too bad it wasn't able to be fixed, such a beautiful control panel.

PS do you have much luck finding machines up in Quebec? It's very hard to find machines here in Nova Scotia, vacuums, washers, dishwasher, all very hard to come by.

Funny you should mention that, there has been a real run of this style/generation of Maytags up for grabs here recently. The old Maytag reputation influenced a lot of dishwasher purchases it would seem!!
How serious are you about looking for one? I have seen machines slightly less fancy than this one going from $20 to $150 on Kijiji...

ALL PUSHBUTTON MT BD DWs

combo52's profile picture

We have a rebuilt Jenn-Air 1988 BD DW that looks like the MT that Paul has that needs to go. Ours has a black control panel with light gray buttons and a mechanical timer for delay wash on the left side of the panel. DW has brand new pump module and belt and was on display at the wash-in last fall, would make a good daily driver. We would need about $250 or it will likely be scraped for parts, as it is I have the MT version of this that was only used about 10 times.

Pauls offer of parts would be good for anyone that has one of these or wants one of these as the timer and control switches are NLA.

Hey Paul, if I could find one here in Nova Scotia, it would be mine. I checked on kijiji, I totally forgot about Montreal being French hahaha, so 'Dishwasher' didn't turn up as many hits as 'Lave-vaisselle' There are three Maytag JetCleans up there. Just In Montreal. Plus lots of Centre dial dryers and washers, a lot of x10 Maytag laundry pairs too.

Hey Kevin! Oh yeah, I tend to forget that English and French are not the same... damned biligualism... LOL
There has been a ton of Maytag stuff up for grabs this season...SOOOO tempting...

I've never had experience with a Maytag before. KA, GE, Whirlpool, been there, done that. I want to find a Maytag DW soon, everyone always says they can take a lot and clean very well. But like I said before, trying to find anything unique/vintage here is almost impossible. By the way, are those parts still available?

The racks, detergent and rinse agent dispensers, and drain hose have been claimed.

The motor, wiring, timer, dead pump, and front panels are still available!

I need to move 'em soon cause there will be a vintage Inglis addition to the dishwasher collection soon...

I am interested in the control panel/timer, motor, and old pump (basically whats left with the exception of the front panels! lol). Can you see my email on my profile? I was going to send you an email but I can't see your email in your profile.
