When browsing Craigslist tonight I saw this cute Hoover and thought someone here may be interested.

It looks pretty nice but I think $100 is a bit much for it

Appears to be in great condition. $100.00 may be a little steep, but then, they are rather hard to find, especially in good condition. I paid $25.00 for mine in 1978, a second-hand find in a small town hardware store - my first washer purchase when I was 16 years old. I'd probably pay $100.00 today.

Really need to get the Hoover out one day and give it a work out. Since I've got the spin dryer don't even use that part of the machine anymore.

I'm still thinking about making an offer to them. I think this would be a fun little toy

Some Info

I hope you decide to get it, the machine is a Hoover 0510, the 2nd generation of Hoovers here in the States. This machine series is the 1st US made Hoover washer, as the previous were UK imports. Stainless steel washtub and all metal construction makes it a heavy little critter. Pumps can be had across the pond as it shares the same pump used in British models made through the 90's (not saying it will be terribly easy to find though). Chances of a good pump on the older machines are better, I've run across several old ones with a working pump. The drain hose is shot I can see from the pic, it runs along the inside of the rear machine and pulls up from the top. It's a custom made hose and I've yet to run across one, you may be able to repair it or make a work-around.

Great little machines, very rugged the older ones were. If you need any help with her, I'd be glad to offer my time, I have over a dozen of these things now and counting.

-Tim
