By saying a special thank you to all of the club members who have helped me make these machines functional again. Thank you for the machines, your time, advice, encouragement, and spare parts! Next I'm devloping a scrapbook detailing all of the technical information about each machine, now I'm getting into the fun stuff! Thanks again guys! |

Joe, congratulations on all the fun you are now getting to experience after all the pains-taking restoration efforts. And my aren't you brave doing that load of sheets in the Unimatic. I did a same type of load in austin's Unimatic and it still ended up going oob on each spin. (although you have an updated pulsator with 3 rings). |

Very lucky Joe. I ought to know how to properly load a Unimatic, even with sheets. The ego was a little bruised given I was washing in front of about 20 people lol. I've never used a 1/18 dryer, what do ya think of it. is the Filtrator in working order yet? Great in the winter time for drying towels. |

The 1-18 dryer is just wonderful. I love both of mine, things dry quickly and are finished nicely. I loved the first one so that I wanted the second one. The Big door GE that I have is in no way superior, it takes forever and is easy to leave things wrinkled.
The filtrator is in full working order and has been since about the 2nd week it came in the door and I've had it about 2 years. I think sometime this summer it may be due for another full cleanout. Oddly enough I don't like my towels done in the Filtrator like so many here have mentioned enjoying. I don't like the extra softness that it gives them, but that's just me. I do enjoy the filtrator a great deal though for my clothes if I have time to wait for it. I use it in all seasons because my basement is air conditioned but it certainly is nice to get all that free heat off of it in the winter. |

The balancing of the custom deluxe, was it always one that required you to distribute the load evenly, unlike mahines that had the self balancing? That was always one thing I remember, the machine would unbalance easily. |
