The timer may be OK - try setting it for 30 or 40 minutes and let the machine run for at least 10 minutes. If it still doesn't move, then there may be a timer issue...
I have a DE701 that I thought had a dead timer, too; turns it out it didn't when I did the above. If you can post the serial number here, one of the Maytag experts will be able to "decode" it and give you a date of manufacture for your dryer. These are sturdy machines - you may want to do some work on it (clean it up and re-oil the drum bearings) but it will be worth it! | ||
