*LOL*

Laundry basket is European, indeed Germany comes to mind but cannot source the washer.

By the way must get me one of those white laundry pinny type uniforms. *LOL*

"must get me one of those white laundry pinny type uniforms"

'Twould be nice, Launderess, but I think you're very fetching in the blue dress with the white dots, no doubt recommending proper laundering techniques via the Trimline phone!

Don't tell me you do your laundry in that dress and the pearl necklace, L.

And Heels, probably, if one is to believe appliance ads from the 50s and 60s.
Both of my grandmothers wore the "Bubbe Shoes" or grandmother shoes that tied up and had a short chunky heel. They put them on in the morning and wore them until bedtime around the house. I never say either one in any other type of shoe. They emerged from the bedroom fully dressed ready to start the day.

They could be BBC Rondos, but I am only guessing.

There is also some similarity to this one, found in the German forum.
Did Constructa come in other brand names in other markets perhaps ?
The lady with the white uniform looks rather southern like Italian or Spanish to me.

I am also puzzled about those things on the sides of the washer cabinet.
The one on top is probably a mains switch, quite common back then, but the thing on bottom appears to be a non grounded electrical outlet. That would never have complied with "VDE" codes in Germany.

Launderess and a pearl necklace.

Now THERE is something I had never actually even tried to picture.
