From Thursday 10/6 until Sunday 10/9, all Energy Star rated products will be sales tax exempt in the state of Georgia.

A whole 4%, that oughta see the stuff flying out the doors. Just being cynical and somethings better than nothing I guess but I can't see many people trading in on that. I think what every state/prov or the federal governments should do is hold a year of no tax, and tax writeoffs on the full purchase price as a better incentive for people to make the switch.
