What a lovely machine! I like it when those toploaders with windows start to spin. Great videos!

I see one of the buttons is for reducing the spin. What are the others for?

Post# 529622 , Reply# 4   7/9/2011 at 02:39 (4,669 days old) by mieledani (Madrid, Spain)

Buttons:
-On/Off (red one);
-Delicates ("fragil");
-Bio(high level of water in mainwash);
-Spin (spin/no spin at all)

Ah, thanks for explaining. So the button you used in the video was the no spin button?

Interesting that the BIO button raises the water level in the main wash. Great for large items too!

Post# 529625 , Reply# 7   7/9/2011 at 02:47 (4,669 days old) by mieledani (Madrid, Spain)

It is a "spin button". The machine only spins if you press this button.
Bio button is like "water plus" in Mieles, isn't it?

I don't know how much the Bio button raises the water level. The Water plus button on a Miele raises the water level with only a few centimeters.

Thank you for sharing. This is a very interesting machine.

I would like to ask about the suspension. Was the drum empty? I did not see any movement to indicate that the drum was spinning with a less than perfectly balanced load. Would there normally be flexing in the rubber gasket area as the drum started to spin and the tub assembly moved out of a perfectly centered position?

At first glance, it reminded me of an early Blackstone with the stainless steel top.

The drum is not empty when the machine spins. It is half loaded. There are two large cotton sheets in the drum.

Thank you for the videos. It looks like a fun machine. Was nice to see the machine go into a spin and the water splash up on the window.

When I read Otsein I tought of a Candy machine but this is original! I've never seen a pre-Candy Otsein machine before!
That really looks interesting to see the water splashing on the outside of the drum, I didn't think that so much water would come out all at once!

Notice the cycles are in Spanish except when it gets to "stop" which is labeled "stop"?

Dj-gabriele: Otsein was a Spanish brand made in the North of Spain;
about water coming out: imagine it with towels!!! I promise new vids!!!

arbilab: It's normal the word "stop" in Spanish machines.

As you can see, it is a more modern one (80's):
