Hello all,

I own a Kitchen Aid KDS-17. The original fill valve has begun leaking and will not flow sufficient water to wash the dishes. So… time for a new valve. The original valve assembly is a Dole N-42. I found two replacement options at RepairClinic.com:

Part number DW-42, which looks identical to the N-42 double coil valve.
-or-
Part number 4171000, which is a single coil valve.

Have any of you had any experience with either of these valve assemblies and if so, is one better than the other?

Thanks for your help!

The new 4171000 is a fine replacement and will work great, just cut off the extra white and black wires that would go to the 2nd solenoid. We use that valve on many different older DWs I still buy them in lots of 25 to get the best price.
