its broken beyond repair :(
i feel like crap, i failed to repair a very unique dryer and to be quite honest i miss it alot (sniff)
im thinkning of saving for one of them compact condensing dryers, but i am in 2 minds about it.
feel very gutted :(
i think ill sleep on the descision

the belt snapped partialy and the unit was litterally hanging from the side pannals :(

also, it collapesd compleatly when i took the back off, i managed to throw ot all back together but it will not and never will be fit for use again :(
it diddent help much that my nan jynxed it lol
it has sentimental value beyond estimation, even thoug its broken i will keep it :)

Yes good idea, I had no idea Blomberg made top loading dryers, let alone sold them here!

Pictures would be good, perhaps we can advise you how to fix it.

how can a snapping...

...belt make it break down beyond repair?

Whatever it is, the Blomberg main offices are just some 25 mins driving up north from my place; besides we have 3 washer repair shops around my town.
How can I help?

the fact that it hsd been made too complex for repares isnt good, the main unit colapsed when i took the back off, it was being supported by the back and the
the heater twisted as it was being inspected and i cant get the belt off.
its made in france by brandt.
its just beyond repare

So did the Blomberg dryer & the Hotpoint WMTL79 Top loader washer come from the same factory in France because they look very similar. I used to own a WMTL79 it was a good machine, though rather long wash times. It used to turn the drum very slowly at the end of the programme so the the drum opening was always at the top.
