Hello Folks, I am new to the site and love anything old school, vintage, retro, etc. I am a flea market, yard sale, and picking nut too. I like to find items and repurpose them into something else eye catching, useful, and unusual.

I was surfing the web today and just happened upon this awesome website while trying to find the answer to a repair question (motor removal) on the Maytag wringer washer model N2LPS that I picked up today for $50 on Craigslist.

I had bought one just like it a few months back for $40 and turned it into a soda/beer ice cooler for family get togethers. The bright yellow color really made it pop. Attached are a few photos. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone by turning it into a cooler. :-)

All I can say is, trying to remove the agitator and motor on that thing left me black & blue for weeks.
Can someone tell me what kind of wrench is needed to take the bolts out that are holding the motor in place. The heads are on top inside the tub.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Hopefully I posted this in the correct forum. :-)
Thanks,
Doug in NC

Thanks Frigilux.
I'm still learning. Where do I find those collection pictures and videos?

Thanks,

Doug--welcome here. you'll have fun.

At the top of this page, hit the AW washmachine/detergent box/smiling icon, it will take you to the main hme page. Then, scroll down to the bottom, there is a colored box with 3 columns of links, from SEE IT WASH to PHOTOS OF COLLECTIONS to VINTAGE OWNERS MANUALS, etc.

Hours of fun, depending on your interests.
Enjoy!
