Yay!! The model 80 washer and dryer pictured is the laundry pair I grew up with. Although the washer needed repairs on a regular basis, it was in service in my parents' home 'til 1984 of 85, when I moved in and replaced them with new Whirlpools. Loved the clickety-clacking of the rapid advance timer.

Yup!

Same here, I think it was purchased in early '59 shortly after my parents married but it looked just like the one on the upper right, maybe a Model 60? Since it predated me it was the first washer I remember - I do recall watching that scrubber cap agitator rotate back and forth. It was a real workhorse and lasted many years before being replaced with another belt-drive Kenmore. When I bought them a new Hotpoint pair in the late '80s my dad was not happy at all, he really wanted nothing to do with another brand.

I think this matches the model in picture. I had saved these pictures from another download!

My favorite Kenmore agitator of all time!  These were in Kenmore Visi-Matics as well.

Yes, that Kenmore Peter showed us is a Model 70. When we moved into the new house in September 1961 (50 years ago in two weeks, right after Hurricane Carla), the LK Combination Washer/Dryer was in the house on one side of me and the Kenmore 70 was in the house on the other side of our house. I loved them both!!

WoW!

The Natural Gas Combo had a 37,000 BTU Burner!

That is massive!

Frog Eye Dryer

Where is the lint filter on the frog eye dryer?  Was it in the door or behind the kick plate as the top does not show a top pullout.

Lint filter?

My everyday washer and dryer is a frogeye,a1955 cyclafabric. The dryer does not have a lint screen. But I have a spare 1955 with a lint filter that is located on the top right of the machine. So they did have lint filters on the deluxe models. Thanks Bobby

My "other mother" had a 1957 FrogEye with the sunburst gold facia on the timer dial. It had a lint filter that was on more toward the top right side at the back of the dryer behind the timer dial. That dryer lasted until it fell apart and was replaced in the early 1970s with her sister's used Hotpoint TouchCommand dryer in black. That dryer lasted until the mid to late 1980s and was replaced with a center-dial Kenmore that's still going.
