A big thank you to whoever supplied this image!

All I can do, besides plotz, is to ask, "What are they??!!!" Yes, I know they're Easy Automatics. My career as a docent in the appliance museum leads me to date them at around 1960, given the raised control panels the absolute lack of shame in the sheer number and complexity of controls, materials and the GE solid-tub like lid and lid hinges. I would so love to see these in person or at least a brochure or catalogue explaining them. We've seen the cap on that Spirolator agitator before, but haven't seen these backsplashes and controls. Neat! Would so love to illustrate these if I had more stuff to go on.

They sport a very stylish console. I'd love to be able to see the washer's controls!

"Garden Regent"--what a whimsical name for a washer/dryer pair. Kinda of makes you think you're laundering at Covent Gardens, eh?

Isn't that

Golden Regent?? I see golden but I like Garden better!

Nice machines, velvapower first year 1959! These look TOL!

I love the big man hand with cigar that is a clever ad for a very well made machine! Too bad I am now realizing what gets to market in this country depends all on the distributors and what they will carry not what the actual stores want or what the engineers design at the factory!
