I have a 4 year old BOL GE Washer model WCSR2090G2WW. It came with the apartment I am renting. It has a very basic straight vane agitator which doesn't do a great job of moving the clothes around. I want to upgrade it to a higher model's agitator. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions on which model I should look at to get the best agitator that will fit?

Thanks,

Andre

I think for one that new the only other option would be the dual action with the auger. I don't think the ramped style from a filter flo would work.

GE AGITATORS

Yes when we get these basic HP and GE washers in the shop we pop in the auger style agitator which works much better. We throw away so many newer GE and Frigidare laundry appliances [ less than ten ears old ] that we always have tons of these parts for them.

GE Agitators (New Style)

I had a 1995 "Commercial Quality" model a while back and it had the straight vane in it. I found another GE in the trash with the auger and FS dispenser and I can attest to a difference. The upper half of GE's straight-vane does nothing that I can see aside from splash about. The auger slowly pulls clothes towards the center and down to the paddles. I prefer WP/KM's DA unit over the GE, but that's Apple and Oranges, the auger is the way to go. John, does this agitator actually have a name?
