I found this 220 volt Bosch Washer and 110 volt dryer and yes that is no mistake it's in Huntsville Alabama for 225 for both. Here is the link on Craigslist... huntsville.craigslist.org/app/258...

Both Require 220 Volts

Bosch did not make a "compact" set for sale in the USA that ran on 110V, same as Miele.

If anything could see how the washer *might* have run on 110v power, but the dryer never.

European style (240 volt washer and dryer, dryer plugs into

I love this!
As if in Europe we plug the washer in the dryer ehehhehe :)

But sure if I were in the USA and in need for a machine, I'd get that pair in a second! I think that is the most similar to a real (for my habits) washing machine I could get!

Bought that exact set in 2000 or 2001. Both washer and dryer were good machines. The dryer does reverse tumble but still a very full load from the washer is a little more than the dryer can handle without wrinkling everything horribly. The dryer doesn't get baking hot like an American dryer, though, so it's very gentle and helps reduce shrinking.

Seller probably made the comment because unlike Europe most American laundry areas have only the one 220v connection (if that), thus anyone considering purchase shouldn't worry about not have two 220v outlets.
