My combo won't tumble, but when I put it in the spin cycle, it spins at high speed. Belt okay. Motor okay. Fills and drains okay. Just won't tumble .. it tries to tumble, but gives just a tremble. Is is possible that this machine could have 2 capacitors? It looks like there are 2 (different sizes). Since they have stopped production of these, there are only limited parts available. Any suggestions? Or is it time to put her out to pasture?

it could have seperate capacitors for spin and tumble if it has an induction motor
I don't know where Edgestar is made or if it is a rebadge, but a motor i got from
a haier combo did have seperate windings for the two speeds with seperate
capacitors...If there is a bad capacitor, and original is not easy to get,a
substitute capacitor of the same or close microfarad rating could be used-just make
sure voltage rating of the new capacitor is the same or higher than the original

Thanks

Thanks for the info ... I bought a new capacitor last week and it did not make a difference ... then, as I dug deeper, I found what looks like a second capacitor on the machine. I am going to try to swap that one out and see if it helps ... I just wasn't sure if i was possible to have 2 capacaitors on a machine. THANKS!!!
