Hello everybody...does anybody have a spare spin mat they would be willing to sell. I see them on ebay U.K. and Australia, but the shipping would be quite high.

Checked with a local parts distributor and was told they're no longer available.

Thanks!

A-50 Spin Mat

The Maytag mat will not properly fit a Hoover, FYI. Different spinner diameters, the Maytag spinner tapers in at the top. Unfortunately I don't have a spare, I share 2 with all of my machines. You could however construct one out of a rubber mat of some sort on the cheap. PERSONALLY, I run the machines without them, may not be suggested but I've had no issue yet. Also one from a Danby can be bought and trimmed as needed.

Why couldn't you buy a Rubbermaid-type sink mat and cut it to fit?

Hey guys...thanks for the suggestions. The Maytag A50 spinner drum is narrower in diameter than the Hoover, so that wouldn't be ideal. And the mat I have for the Speed Queen twin tub is larger, so I can't interchange them.  I've never actually had a problem with the clothes flying upward when spinning, but I'd just  like to have the mat as an authentic accessory.  The one I have currently is the original - so that must be in excess of 50 years old - and several of the "spokes" have split off.

Gary, I'll be looking for your response! E-mail me if you will.
