When I got my 1997 Frigidaire FL it was via White. I still have it and it has been trouble free.
But since then, it appears the name has been acquired by Electrolux. And any search of recent Frigidaire quality turns up a solid wall of complaints. Electrolux was once (1950s) a premium brand. Seems that's changed. To where now, anything they own or sell is rubbish. Did they buy White (not the sharpest knife in the drawer to start with) or did they just buy the Frigidaire name and trash it? What other brands fall under Electrolux ownership? Are they also rubbish? |

I see that E'lux bought White in 1986. So mine is a 'lux whether I like it or not. It must have been a fugitive from corporate intent. Intent being that you're supposed to fix them, not use them. I see that Zanussi is an Electrolux brand.
Frankly, I had a much higher regard for Sweden before I found out they are the home of Electrolux. |
