YES HE WOULD!
That machine is on my dream list. It matches a dryer my Mom got in 1972. I had the remants of one in my trailer that was one of the first of two washers that I bought to use as practice machines when I started working on them. I sold the other machine in working condition, but the one I had was Avocado. I have a panel from it still, but it's no nicer. I have only come across one of these for sale since getting back into these in 2008, and I was too late - sold on Craigslist. I had a chance to get a good gold one back when I bought my sister's Kenmore in 1989, but I haven't seen many of these overall. LOVE those big timer knobs. Gordon |

The model pictured here and the white one too are 60-series machines. They were available with and without bleach dispensers as two different stock models.
A bit higher in the line was this pair, which added a Pre-Soak cycle. Pardon the quality of the Craigslist photo. These were offered either free or cheap and I missed those as well. I think this panel might be even more attractive. There was a large capacity 1973 version of this washer that I've never seen but in catalogs. |
