I posted a plea (thread # 37543) recently when the drain hose on my Simpson Fluid Drive began to leak. One of the replies stated that the US Speed Queen was very similar, and was wondering if anyone would be able to let me know if the drain hose from a SQ could substitute for the FD one.
I don't think I can just use any hose that's available due to the lip on the mounting to the bowl. Has anyone in the US (or hopefully Australia) been able to fabricate a replacement? Are there any replacement hoses available? Please help! Cheers, Alan |

I think your best bet would be what JETCONE suggested in your previous thread. Old rubber parts deteriorate on a shelf as well and one of the pains (or joys?) of owning older machines is having to improvise when some parts become NLA (no longer available). This is one of the easier things to have to improv.
Helpful hint: No need for a new thread for this, it should be contained in the previous Thread# 37543 :)
