How do you clean the "gunk" out of a fabric softener dispenser on a Kenmore 90 Series?

If this is the kind of one-piece dispenser of which I'm thinking, there's no way to open it up for cleaning. The best you can do is soak it in very hot water, shake it vigorously to loosen the gunk, and repeat over and over and over and over. Or buy a new dispenser.

I´ve experienced the same problem

Hi. What the repairman recommend me to do was to soak it in hot water and add 1 cup of vinegar and let it soak for at least 3 hours or so, until you get to point that with shaking it everything goes away. This really worked on my mine so I actually do this as a rutine every 2 months. You can also add some lemon juice to concentrate the power of thge vinegar. This should help.

gunked up FS dispenser

is this the type that is under the top on the left front corner and has 2 compartments, one for bleach and one for bleach? If so, they are a pain to clean if only because of access. If it is this type, very important that the FS be diluted with water before adding

Thanks for your help. I'll try these suggestions. Tim
