Anyone have a pic of the white panel with the amber light?
The first control panel i remember was white with one round amber operating light. The silver consoles of the 60's had rectangular cycle lights with wash rinse and spin in different colors iirc these models had toggle switches h.w.c. on/off. iirc in the late 70's the silver panel got an update with "teardrop" shaped knobs and the cycle indicator was round indicator lights with the function w,r,s printed on the panel. Somewhere in between the silver panels the clothes guard became plastic instead of plastic coated wire. As far as the lid lock I mainly remember the front right lid/lock. The commercial lid was hinged in back, the domestic was hinged on the left, to create a work area when open. Someone here will know but i think the hidden lid switch did not happen until Raytheon bought them from McGraw Edison. That was also the end of the solid tub, Raytheon went to the perforated tub and were changed to hinged in the back lids, only. During the 70's the commercial line also was still available in Turquoise, Orange, apple green and some shade of yellow, other than harvest gold. I always felt like they sneaked the plastic agitator in too, from aluminum to a dark grey plastic prolly late 60 or early 70's. alr
