I have been working on this for a while now and it should have been posted for New Years ('cept I've been having some refrigerator issues...) Better late than never, though.
Enjoy!!!

Wow!

Paul, you're challenging Kevin for the AW Oscar. LOVED IT! 'Twas inspiration to get motivated on my twins.

The redo of the laundry room is very inviting. I could sit there all day and listen to those pretty machines hum.

Just a grand production.

I have more fotage on the dryer when at your place in the summer.

That dryer really lefts HIGH in dropping and rolling ...

Very nice Paul, I always enjoy a "Turquoisedude Production"!

My mom's '55 Westinghouse washer was almost like yours, except for the control dials - which were gray.

Beautiful restoration and what a fun video!!! What was that soundtrack and where did you find it? I am having some home movies from the 50's/early 60's converted. Since they are silent, that would make a perfect background for some of the early parts of the video.

Don't know what I like the more: the speed reading course upgrade and tuneup, or pressing the button to get the Betty Furness Ad Wink

Always in awe of such skill, both in restoration and videography. Amazing. So much hard work. Such an inspiration. Thank You.

What machines did you exile? That can't have been easy.

angus (and others who have asked about the soundtrack) - the first tune is 'The Waltz of the Bubbles' by David Rose and the second is 'The Continental' by Ray Anthony.  At the very end, I used the last 5 seconds of the 'The Waltz of the Bubbles' again. Both tunes are 1953 recordings to "match" the set!

Michael - the 4 machines that 'left' were the Maytag A206 and DE306 set, the L5 Westy Laundromat, and the 1958 GE Clothes Conditioner Automatic dryer...  The 68 Simplicity wringer also was moved to a new home (but that wasn't in the basement).   It was tough BUT, all went to good homes and I survived... LOL
