I have a question on replacement water valves for a KM washer,I found 2 different replacement valves that will fit my washer, one is 358277 which is a yellow body and the other is 358276 which is a blue body color. What is the difference between these 2 water inlet valves? Thanks

Doug

WP WASHER INLET VALVES

Both are interchangeable, but the yellow valve is the correct one for BD washers, it has a much faster fill rate. The blue works better in the DD machines as the faster fill of the yellow valve can cause some splashing over the top of the tub cover on the DD washers.

Doug -

The reason for what John said above is the fill neck on the 358277 is of proper dimension to fit the BD's fill hose going to the flume. This valve is specifically made for Belt-drive washers. The 358276 blue body is more of a universal valve. It fits BDs, but you need a sleeve/collar on the fill neck (which is narrower) to make the fill hose fit properly. I believe this valve actually comes with that adaptor, but I'd use the 358277 if I had a choice.
