Label on top of timer.
The 2-4499-1 indicates this is a timer for a Maytag model A806. The 1 indicates it's an early model "scritching" timer.

Maytag late model Mallory timer.

Label on top of timer. The 2-4499-3 indicates this is a timer for a Maytag model A806. The 3 indicates it's a late model timer.

The relatively simple escapement compared to the early model timer.

The dark yellow gear has the two tabs on the under side that engage the cogs on the white gear to move it once a minute that in turn gives the timer a one minute increment.

Not as much fun but much less to go wrong here.
