That Kenmore dryer I found here in Minneapolis around 1996 or so at the Salvation Army store back when they still took in and sold major appliances.

It made its way to John in Maryland around 1998. I put on the Whirlpool window door to add to the drying drama. Fun machine for sure. Now its off to its next home as so many of our machines make the rounds so to speak.

"this is a non roller- matic machine"

mickeyd's profile picture

This is exciting, John! You can see the Suds Return marked on the wash temp selector. Did Frigidiare perfect this? The earlier version's pumps had trouble staying primed. So is this a multimatic then? It's the white clone of our 65 or 6 Bronze beauty which was a rollermatic. They must have kept this sharp style for a few years: the glass lighted clock with the chrome dial beneath. Was crazy about this machine.

Can't wait to see what else you put up--hope there's lotsa washers.Laughing

OOPS: Closer look: that's a Deluxe ~ the Custom Deluxe looks the same but has 2 speeds with a delicate cycle on the clock rather than a soak.

And a Jenn-Air belt drive DW, this is the last year for the BD DW and this is a TOL model, it even has a 2nd delay wash timer, which means that this DW has 5 motors. This machine saw very light use and has a new pump assembly. I need around $300 for it or I will take the pump and some other parts and scrap it.

Another Wards dryer by Norge, this one Gas and from around 1971, I started on its rebuilding and even purchased a new motor, I will probably finish rebuilding it and eventually sell it unless someone is dying to have this one. You could buy it as a kit or finished.

I have the correct knobs and all the new mechanical parts to fully restore.

John,

If you have a taker for the matched GE laundry pair - consider this:  before they get shipped away, place them side-by-side, level them up, wipe 'em down and take one last photo of the pair for posterity.  So rare to see a matched pair of this age and I still think this vintage is some of the nicest-looking models GE ever produced!

I'm just sayin.....

MID WINTER APPLIANCE SALE

combo52's profile picture

The 1969 GE #sp washer, 1964 Frigidaire washer, JA DW, Easy Spinier, 1957 pink Frigidaire range, and the 40" GE electric range are probably now spoken for.

I probably jumped the gun on offering the 1958 GE W&D pair, these two had by far the most interest and I also have a 1959 pair that I want to restore and keep at the museum, so I am going to delay the sale of these two till get the 1959 pair up and running. Sorry for unnecessary excitement, the other appliances are still available.

NEW ARRIVALS

combo52's profile picture

Yesterday while on deliverer's we picked up a 1980 standard capacity WP BD washer model LHA5700WO, this is a 2SP machine with manual clean water fall lint filter. The machine is in great condition under neath, no leaks or rust, could use a new belt and the timer may have issues.

We also picked up an early 1990s GE FF Extra Cap, 7 cycle, 2Sp, mini basket washer. It to is in excellent shape and only needs minor repairs.

Let me know if anyone wants to save either of these, otherwise both will be parted out and scrapped on Sunday, Thanks John.

John,

Do you think the two new haul-ins are better advertised in a new, separate thread? I think a new thread just might get more reads. Sounds like those two machines deserve it!

I probably have a used timer that would fit the WP.
