Here's one for the members who are looking for a Frigidaire 1-18, in Little Rock CL.  Owner says works well.  Has the window lid.  Somebody go get it.

I don't believe the WCI machines had a window in the lid, did they?

This looks like the real GM - but until I got in this club I never saw a wci with a window lid. But they did exist.

1978-79 model by where the lid-switch is, moved above the filter from the hinge - probably cheaper and easier for little washer-kids to get around for open-lid action.

WCI did keep the window-lid on the first of the Frigidaire machines, the first one I saw had a window that looked down onto the saucer-shaped softener dispenser on top of the oscillating spiral agitator.

Boy, that is a really nice looking machine! Lot nicer than the one my aunt gave to the thrift store last week. Hope someone snaps this one up.

do you have any suggestions for contacting someone that won't respond back?  I hear people talk about that happening from time to time.  Sherwood is a 15 minute drive from where im at in Little Rock-West.

Looks like the ad has been pulled. Chances now of getting in touch with the seller are slim to none.

Sorry about that Joesph, was rootin' for ya!

Maybe it sold

Joseph - after seeing your post about the seller not responding, I too attempted with email to reach them, also with no response.  I was so, hoping you or someone on AW would get it.   Since you're so close it would have been perfect.  Keep looking, something good will show up!  If I see another one, I'll post it.

"1978-79 model by where the lid-switch is, moved above the filter from the hinge"

The first year for the lid switch above the lint filter was 1977. That's what I have in my 1977 1-18 washer. I think that in 1978, they switched to a pan type lint filter.
