1978-79 model by where the lid-switch is, moved above the filter from the hinge - probably cheaper and easier for little washer-kids to get around for open-lid action.
WCI did keep the window-lid on the first of the Frigidaire machines, the first one I saw had a window that looked down onto the saucer-shaped softener dispenser on top of the oscillating spiral agitator. |

It looks very funny :) but the wash cycle i find it is really interesting, the pulsator wash action, i have never see in real live. i really like the videos of this Frigidaire washers |
