That's MY Duomatic. And it's great!!!

I'm having one small problem, though. I need to get the top off to check on a leak that has just occurred. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the top off. Any suggestions?

Many people do spent this amount for a TOL washer and dryer today. We have sold many TOL WP Duet pairs that came to about this amount. These were installed prices and in the good old 1950s that list price usually included install ion, where as the low advertised prices that we are used to seeing today at Home Depot don't even include hoses and cords, let alone a decent installation.

According to "the inflation calculator" my 1967 Maytag A806 and DG 806 which were sold for $532 would now cost $3,610.35. I bought this pair for $50 last spring and have probably spent about $400 to date in parts, paint, and alcohol to restore them! :)

Well, last time I was at a Home Depot, an LG rear control combo was selling for $2200, so it's kind of cheap in comparison. I can't recall if it was a condensing ventless model or not.

I can't say that I'd pay the equivalent of $3600 for a washer and dryer, I'd probably own a cheaper GE set instead, but that's just me..
