It must be something wrong with the motor, as you said the drum moves freely by hand, so something can;t be stuck between the drum, otherwise it would have jammed completely. Have you tried using the machine since? Does it work? |

The owner of the Aeg has bought a new machine. We tried using a last time and smoke started seeping from the backside. I do belive there was a fault with the motor, because it sounded awful even without clothes. |
