After speaking with the retailer and Whirlpool about ongoing balanace and spin issues with our new front loader, I drove into the city to meet the tech. He came armed with a new board from Reliable Parts priced at $175.00. A glimpse into the innards helps to understand why this machines commands a $1,500.00 price tag. As the service tech left he said they have a different control module to try if this one doesn't solve the problem. Makes you wonder why they didn't go for the "other" one to start with. First load running on Bulky cycle with 115 minutes to go.

I wish you a great deal of luck and whatever good washer karma there is.
